The Queer Agenda

For this passion project, I designed and constructed a few prototypes of an accordian book that features some achievements from members of the LGBTQ community. Homosexual composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky revolutionized music, Lesbian astronaut Sally Ride inspired millions as the first American woman in space, Homosexual mathematician Alan Turing invented the field of computer science, and Transgender actress Laverne Cox inspired millions as the first Trans person to earn a Primetime Emmy nomination.

These stylized illustrations were made by stippling, which compliments the speckled paper the book is printed on. I originally planned on using historical photos, and while I kept these as references, I decided to push myself and draw them instead.

Note: The design of this book is finished, but the production materials have not been finalized yet.
