EverGREEN Comprehensive Campaign Report

Following the conclusion of the $250 million EverGREEN campaign, I was tasked with creating a report to highlight the success and reach of the endeavor. Working with the lead writer, I helped build the outline for the document. From there, I created a document grid that allowed the text to breathe and provided room to add in impactful stats, meaningful stories, and compelling photos. The digital version of the report was created based on my printed document.

This document is particularly meaningful to me as it is the culmination of several years of storytelling that changed the lives of countless students who have been impacted by the funds raised. I created the story and visual language for EverGREEN, and this report was a fitting bookend to my time at Utah Valley University.

Bethany College Alumni Magazine

Every year, Bethany College releases a publication to highlight the work of the institution’s staff, students, and community. The magazine includes event recaps, ways to stay involved with the alumni community, and the impact of donor gifts.

I was asked to create this magazine that features the College’s homecoming weekend in conjunction with the town’s biennial Hyllningsfest, which celebrates the Swedish heritage of the area.Throughout the document, I utilized ample negative space to allow the page layouts to breathe and to highlight important images, quotes, and headings.

Proposals & Annual Reports

Almost every major gift at UVU is secured through a document. My team will occasionally make a case statement to get the ball rolling, and we often make a proposal to outline the impact of a potential gift. The deal isn’t final until a gift agreement is signed, but these documents make the factual and emotional case that inspires a donor to make a gift.

Having been designing documents since high school, I was often asked to lead out on document design. I have created more than 50 proposals for prospective gifts ranging from $10,000 to $30 million, and I have created more than 20 reports in my time at UVU.

When creating a document, I balance the need to inform and provide statistics with the emotional case. The facts show what the gift will do, but the visual story told through layout and imagery evokes the legacy a gift can create. There are elements that remain consistent throughout these pieces, but each one is customized to the donor based on their interests and motivators.

President's Scholarship Ball Program

Fundraising and stewardship events build affinity between the institution and donors. While many events have short program cards, I occasionally created longer ones. The document below was created for the 2024 UVU President’s Scholarship Ball, an annual event that showcases student excellence and raises funds for the university’s academic merit scholarship.

The program included student testimonials, facts about that year’s cohort of presidential scholars, and showcased the impact a gift will have on students. That year, we raised a record $1.8 million at the event, which is enough to fund 560 semesters of tuition.
